Day 8: the secret word is pimple
This one was difficult in that I didn't know what I could do with pimple but I think it turned out fine.

Day 7, the secret word is "Bear"
Working on this one was fun, I've never really done a landscape in photoshop before. I like the way it turned out and I really like the cute little bear in there, it's my favorite so far.
I also used reference for the background by using backgrounds from the Disney movie Brother Bear. It helped to see how they painted the trees and how they composed the shot with atmospheric perspective.

Day 5 : the secret word is "witchcraft"
Skipped some days for the Christmas holiday but I'm right back at it. My favorite part of my holiday was talking with my great uncle about beauty and art. It's always inspirational when I get to talk to him.

I don't think it's the best one but definitely something different and a learning experience.

Day 4: the secret word is "snowflake".
I really like doing these holiday words, it's super festive and fun. I like coming up with these things just on the spot.

Day 3:
Well the apocalypse didn't happen, I get to keep drawing for another day!
Today's word is "candle":
I kept it sketchy because as I was putting in the lay-in drawing I really liked it so I just ran with it. I'm really liking these word of the day things, it's so much fun just staring something from one word, I can take it anyway that I want.

December 19th
The semester if finally over! Now is the time to keep learning :) I had this idea to start playing around in photoshop and creating stories based off of a suggestion for the day. Kind of like, drawing improv. I've been looking at Pascal Campion's work because I really like how he creates these really great pieces with great lighting and story. Anyways I'm trying to do a pic a day for the break, we'll see how long this last lol. Here's the first one, the suggestion was "pillow".

DA MOON
Saw the moon tonight and it gave me inspiration to try a photoshop version. I haven't done that much painting in photoshop but I wanna get better. Hopefully for winter break I can get some paintings in. Anyways this was just really quick and the more I look at it, the more I wanna fix so I'll just post it now.

Next Greatest Thing...
The next greatest thing we are doing in class is a sack pantomime. The flour sack has to interact with an inanimate object and then change emotion. So far the reference is done and planned out:
First, taking the reference and planning it out.
Then turning that into flour sack form.
New Stuff
I'm terrible at this, but you didn't come here for text you came here for pretty (sometimes not so pretty) pictures. Here you go:
Some sketchbook pages from watching a movie or TV show.
Animal drawings spreadsheet for a portfolio for class.

Bad-Ass
Just wanted to share with everyone this awesome quick painting that my friend and fellow SJSUer, Steven Celiceo, did of me. It was off of a picture that I took in a detective costume for my murder mystery party birthday. It's super awesome! I Love it!

24 Hour Animation
This weekend I participated in a csu wide animation contest. The teams of 5 had only 24 hours to complete a 30 sec short. My team and I worked really hard for the whole 24 hours and completed our film for the most part. I learned alot and mostly learned what I'm capable of in a certain time period. I even tried some new things that I didn't think that I could do so I was really proud of that. I also liked working with a team, it taught me how to put something together with multiple people and under a deadline.
Thanks to everyone who helped out.

Work Out of School
So my friend asked me if I could do a logo for her and her radio station. I said yes and was really excited by the way it turned out. I think that I was more excited that I was able to actually do something other than homework and schoolwork.
So yeah this was really fun.

What Animal Would You Be?
My friends and I were discussing today, what animal would we be? We had a lion, meerkat, coyote, bear, squirrel, otter, and for me...a hyena. Their reasoning was that I do voices and laugh a lot. So, the artists that we are created our own assignment. Create yourself as your animal, so of course the good student I am I skipped me other studies to immediately work on this. Here is a gesture that I made mostly of just the hyena, I'll add some of my features in a little bit later.

YAYYYYYY!
I PASSED THE PORTFOLIO REVIEW!!!!
Now onto the sketchbook for the summer! I can't wait to start that after my finals are over.
Speaking of finals I finished my modeling final which was a Shotgun/ax that was made for the LFD2 game to kill zombies! woot! Coolest assignment ever! Its kind of hard to explain so I'll show pictures instead. I modeled the shotgun, duct tape, and the environment with lighting. My partner (yes we did this in a group) modeled the ice skate and did the textures for the shotgun/ax as well. Took forever but it's finally done and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
